Who is Millicent Stephenson?

Millicent is a multi-award-winning saxophonist with features on TV, Radio, Journals & Books. Her clients include British Airways, Porsche and West Midlands Police. Ā She enjoys helping others achieve their musical ambitions and gives guidance through her podcast ā€˜Success Beyond The Score’; her online training courses, and her women in music project ā€˜Time For My Music’.Ā

'In my 20s I had label interest but nothing came of it. Music remained my hobby, but at 42 IĀ realised that my male friends had managed to achieve a music career.Ā  I wasn't sure how they did it, but I knew this was my final chance. I decided to give it one more push for 5 years, after all,Ā who wants to see an 'old bird' on stage after that but I was very wrong.Ā

In those five years I figured a lot out, picked brains, went on courses, but it wasn’t until my 5th year that I released my first recording, and also received an award. People love what I do, and still do today.Ā  IĀ am a full-time professional musician for corporates, charities, weddings, private functions, churches and educational establishments. It’s been 20 years and along the way I realise there are many who want to achieve their music dreams but don't know how.Ā  I like helping and giving back so that you don't have to struggle the way I did.Ā  Ā

I look forward to seeing you soon'.
